Our work starts with issues, opportunities and questions worth exploring. Some become research projects. Others develop into community initiatives, partnerships, educational opportunities or practical action.
These are just a few of the areas we’re currently developing and exploring. As A Better Ontario grows, so will the issues, opportunities and communities we work alongside.
Exploring community safety, crime prevention, victim support and other issues that affect the safety and well-being of Ontario communities.
Exploring infrastructure, transportation, development and planning issues that influence how Ontario communities grow and function.
Creating meaningful opportunities for young people to contribute, develop practical skills and become more involved in their communities.
Exploring issues, identifying gaps and gathering information that can help uncover opportunities for positive change.
Exploring responsible ways to support research, awareness, and collaborative efforts surrounding missing persons and unresolved cases.
Exploring opportunities to support Indigenous communities, strengthen relationships and contribute to meaningful reconciliation.
A Better Ontario listens to communities, identifies areas where improvement may be possible, and brings together research, community input and motivated participants to better understand the issue.
We listen. We make an effort to understand. We research every avenue. We act on what we find.
Some of our work will be shaped by what communities tell us matters most. Other initiatives will come from areas we believe deserve greater attention.
These are some of the areas we're starting with, not the limits of where we're going. As new ideas, needs and opportunities emerge, so will the work.
